TechnoKids Computer Curriculum Aligns with Common Core Standards

What Are the Common Core Standards?
The Common Core State Standards were developed to create a collective set of goals and expectations for student success in America. Arising from an initiative first developed in 2009, the standards have the goal of preparing students graduating from high school for college, careers, and life. By December 2013, forty-five states had adopted the Common Core State Standards and were in various stages of implementation.

Teachers can now easily make connections between specific standards and each individual TechnoKids computer project. Aligning the standards with a project is simple: for any TechnoKids computer project, view the TechnoKids English Language Arts Common Core correlation document and/or TechnoKids Mathematics Common Core correlation document for that grade level. The specific Common Core standards achieved in that particular project are listed by description and by code identification.

Common Core standards establish what students need to learn but do not prescribe how teachers can achieve these goals. Now TechnoKids Computer Curriculum helps teachers identify, teach, and accurately list the skills students gain in every TechnoKids technology project.
